Gender, Projected Opening Reception Friday, April 17

WHAT: Gender, Projected: Exploring Gender and Identity Through Photography and Dialogue Opening Reception
WHEN: Friday, April 17, 6-10 p.m.
WHERE: New Haven Pride Center, 84 Orange St., New Haven, CT

Join us as we share, for the first time publicly, the photographs and dialogue gathered by the curators of Gender, Projected. After the opening, some of their work will be donated to form a permanent collection at the center.

As a project and now a permanent artistic display, the artists aim to spur discussion around gender and identity, even when that discussion brings up challenging issues.

There will be hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, and entertainment throughout the evening. Come and go as you are available.

We look forward to engaging in critical conversation about gender identity and expression with our models and the larger community.

For more information, please visit their website. You can also RSVP at their Facebook event.

Mourning the loss of a friend

Members and friends of the New Haven Pride Center are remembering one of their own who passed far too soon. Michelle McCleary - who gifted us with her graphic & design talents, her dedication to the NHPC, her passion for justice, her love of life, and her friendship - passed away in her sleep on November 10. She leaves a huge hole in our family. We will miss you Michelle. Thank you for making us part of your life.
